BCN eMotorsport is a team formed by undergraduate engineers from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC Barcelona). The team has the aim to design, build and test two different cars to compete in two categories of Formula Student.
ETSEIB Motorsport was formed in 2007 with a combustion prototype that was succeeded by three more cars with constant improvements over the years. In 2011, the team manufactures the first electric car for Formula Student in Spain, being a real design concept evolution. In 2018, big challenges are taken by the team introducing the 4WD and creating the first autonomous car for Formula Student in Spain, following the automotive industry evolution and using the latest technology.
Formula Student is the most prestigious engineering competition in the world. It consists of a competition where engineering students from around the world design and build a Formula 1 style car, and then participate in different events. There are currently three categories in the competition: combustion, electric and driverless.
